American Academy of Cosmetic Surgery to Host 2014 Scientific Meeting

After earning his medical degree from Northwestern University, Dr. Steven Covici completed a general surgery internship and ophthalmology residency at Rush-Presbyterian St. Luke’s Medical Center in Chicago. Presently, Dr. Covici serves as an oculo-facial plastic surgeon at Steven J. Covici, MD, FACS, PC in Springfield, MA. Beyond his duties at his practice, Dr. Steven Covici is a member of the Massachusetts Medical Society and the American Academy of Cosmetic Surgery.




The American Academy of Cosmetic Surgery (AACS) will host its 2014 Scientific Meeting on January 14-19, 2014, at the Westin Diplomat Hotel in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida. In its 30th year, the Scientific Meeting will bring together more than 1,000 exhibitors, physicians, researchers, and other related health care professionals who will participate in general sessions and live demonstrations, all designed to impart information on the latest innovative procedures and technologies available in the field of cosmetic surgery.




The result of a merger between the American Association of Cosmetic Surgeons, the Liposuction Society, and the American Society of Cosmetic Surgeons, the AACS was formed in 1985 to advance the field of cosmetic surgery and to ensure the highest level of patient safety. Serving more than 2,000 members, the AACS will celebrate its 30th anniversary in 2014.
